Long ago we dwelled in the eternal forest. Creatures of beauty and nature. The day we refused a god in his anger he sent us to earth to live among the beings there. It was a time where only the strong survived. Magical beings were at war. All that dwelled on the earth was entangled in this vast war. Our beauty and power caused the dragons to fear us. They set out to destroy us, and nearly succeeded. Only a few of my sisters and I survived. I had given up on the idea that any goodness dwelled in this cursed land.
That was before I met him.
He showed me there was goodness on this world. He showed me that love was an amazing thing. They never understood him. They would've let him die. Never to have been born. I risk the dragons learning about us, learning that we survived. Is he worth all that I risk, I asked myself. The answer in my heart was clear.
